Equalizer Secure Grip Flange Spreaders

 

The Equalizer Secure Grip zero gap flange spreader series is an elegant solution to a difficult problem. Using an expanding collet system they have devised away to spread flanges without being able to use the gap in between. 

 

The tools are sized according to the size of bolt hole collet needed in your flange. The smaller mechanical versions are designed for 3/4" through 1-3/8" bolt hole flanges. 

 

The medium sized hydraulic versions are designed for 1-1/2" through 2-1/4" bolt hole flanges.

 

The largest and most powerful sized in-line style hydraulic zero gap flange spreaders are desgined for 2-3/8" through 4" bolt hole flanges.

 

To operate, first lock each side of the tool in place by torqueing the appropriate sized collet into the bolt holes. Then align the spreader assemblies (on the hydraulic versions this means adding the cylinder and hoses) and operate to swiftly and safely spread the flanges apart. This could be used for slip blinds or for changing out gaskets.
